The 95 and 96 models had a higher 1st and 2nd gear ratio than all others I believe. This is why the 95-96 models have a 16/46 sprocket and chain set were all others have a 17/42 set.

Now I keep it at my parent's till spring comes. I just ride from time to time too keep it oiled. But the more I ride and tinker around, the more issues worth asking I find. So, first of all I noticed that when I open the throttle from idle, a knocking sound comes from the engine.The connections for the turn signals/running lights are inside the headlight bucket, the rear turn signals connect to connectors that resides in the front of the tool box (under the seat). The running lights should be lit even with a bad signal switch, or a bad flasher/relay. Its a real long shot, but check the bulbs.Bluecruiser said: 40k on a 2007 900 Custom.
