If fuel is definitely going to the motor and it still wont start and stay running then you need to check rail pressure. Good scanners are not cheap.

Updated the tunes to the truck and now I can't get it to fire at all. I have ez lynk so I can see some of the fuel pressures but I'm not sure where everything should lie.Check fuses/relays. If the Injection Pump Fuse blew it would cause loss of communication. Sounds a lot like the old Cummins VP44 issue.
