Tbi to carb swap.

I have suggested using a Chevy 250 CID 6 cylinder one barrel carb for the easiest conversion. It is very simple to fab an adapter for this carb since the late intake TBI mani inlet is close to a 1 barrel size. By far, the Weber in the pic above is the best swap, but it requies a litte more fab technique. The 6 cylinder 1 barrel is pretty close ...Look at an EVO, Eclipse, etc, making 500-700 on 8mm lines. Now crank the pressure upto 80psi and they'll be more than large enough. Run the stock pump (or higher pressure) to you're regulator and then run a 3/8-1/2 line from the regulator to your carb - no problem IMO. Two mechanical cables to the throttle bell crank would be the foot feed cable that moves the throttle and the modulator cable to the transmission. That would indicate that the tranny is 700R4/4L60. That makes switching the TBI to carb a lot simpler.
