Zinc is silver in color. Since the mint wasn't even minting silver proofs at that time I think it is quite doubtful this one cent is silver. The 1985-P Lincoln Cent is very easy to find in circulation. Only in MS66 condition or higher is it scarce. In MS67 condition it's a little more difficult to find but with enough roll searching an example can easily be found.
