The hex mage has two trees the will focus on Blood (decay) or a combination of everything (Hex). Both are lots of fun but i'd suggest hex for a pure mage. Also dont forget the spellswords awakening in cierzo which gives an awesome elemental discharge ability and the ritualist with multiple drums that are both awesome mana builds. Possibly get blood sigil from hex mage to manage the corruption. Gets a bunch of additional goodies with advanced rune magic. Lightning bolt kind of makes elemental discharge with the lightning runic blade a duplicate maybe. Sounds lovely thematically, don’t know how strong it would be: gets two imbues but no damage bonus. Hex Mage is easily the best magic Class in Outward. It can deal the whole elemental spectrum of damage, can capitalize on even Physical, thanks to Pain, Confusion and Torment. I mean, ANYTHING can be good with Hex mage. Bloodlust is nice for a full mage build for the reason you have given, but the whole Class is simply too good imho. Summary. OP Chakram Hex.
