I recently bought a 2008 Ram 2500 with the 6.7I Cummins (the truck is totally stock except for suspension lift and tires). The transmission started to act up recently. It wouldn't shift past 4th gear, CEL came on, and the codes read P0700 and P0871. Dealer said new transmission, but I wasn't going to pay what they wanted.Code is P0750 which is the Shifter solenoid. Truck doesn't even have 5000. miles on it yet and they got to replace this part. Transmission was flaring between 3rd and 4th gears with delayed garage shifts. Replaced PCM, Torque converter, Pump Assy, cluthes (the 4 cluthes were not burnt, but did have metal grit stuck in the friction material) Installed new clutch and 4C clutch retainer was melted to the reverse flush cooler.
