I have a friend who has a 1989 XR4 that has the oil injection pump removed and an aftermarket block-off kit installed. The "low oil alarm" goes off constantly. How can we correctly delete that part of the alarm while leaving the water temp circuit intact? He will never go back to oil injection on this outboard, so modifications to the wiring harness is not an issue.
