Feb 20, 2022 · Resolution update: After disassembling the gun and mating the slide directly to the frame (no grip module), the cause was found to be the hammer strike face jamming on bottom of the slide. The plastic frame contact appears to have been secondary, possibly from skewed slide angle (e.g. tipping up at back from contact). A brand new never fired Gen 4 for $500.
